As a school we are committed to promoting inclusiveness and celebrating diversity.
We value all members of our community and work hard to develop positive relationships between stakeholders. At St. Stephen’s Infant School [SSIS], we are fortunate to have a supportive and friendly parent/carer body. We recognise that most parents/carers behave appropriately and understand that educating children is a process that involves developing a respectful partnership with school staff and our community. To achieve the best social and academic outcomes for children this partnership needs to be based on the principles of care, trust and mutual respect.
The purpose of our ‘Parent/Carer Code of Conduct’ is to clarify expectations regarding communication and behaviour for all parents/carers and visitors to SSIS. This will enable us to create an environment where:
- All members of the school community are always treated with respect.
- All members of the school community feel safe and secure.
- Concerns can be raised and dealt with in a calm and civilised manner.
Parents/carers are requested to ensure that that all persons with responsibility for collecting their child(ren) are aware of our Code of Conduct.
